The simplest option, and where most of our Altha work goes. We need flat grass or concrete matching the unit's listed footprint, the listed overhead clearance, and a standard outlet within 100 feet. Out on the county roads, tell us if you're down a long dirt drive and we'll plan the approach. On a slab we anchor with sandbags rather than stakes.
At Shelton's Park
Shelton's Park on NW State Road 73 is a Calhoun County site rather than a town one — it's one of those rural community parks with a small library building on it that doubles as the neighborhood's civic hub and polling place. County parks are booked through Calhoun County Parks and Recreation in Blountstown at (850) 674-5353. We'd suggest calling them about what's available before planning around it, since the county doesn't publish an amenity list.
Indoors, and Nearby
Altha's indoor civic building is the Old Gym on North Main Street — whether it's rentable is a question for Town Hall at (850) 762-3280. If you need a proper indoor hall, the W.T. Neal Civic Center in Blountstown is about fifteen minutes south. And the county airport on Agri Park Road — yes, Altha has an airport — has a terminal with conference space and hosts public events like the September car show.
