Jim Trawick Park on North Railroad Avenue — most people still call it Pals Park — is the big one, with ball fields, picnic areas, and room to spread out. It's also where the Watermelon Festival's Friday night concerts happen. Worth knowing: the city requires a Field/Facility Rental Agreement submitted at least two weeks in advance for outside groups, so don't leave that to the last minute. Northside Park on Glenwood Avenue and Shivers Park on 4th Street each have a pavilion, and Gilmore Park on Church Street has picnic tables and a playground.
