About Pine Log State Forest — the Honest Version
Pine Log is right here and it's a genuinely special place: Florida's first state forest, established in 1936, over eight thousand acres, with the Sand Pond campground and miles of trails including a long stretch of the Florida National Scenic Trail.
But we won't pretend it's a simple party venue. It's run by the Florida Forest Service, and their rules require a State Forest Use Permit for organized group activities plus separate written authorization for commercial vendors bringing equipment in. On top of that, the Sand Pond pavilion caps at twenty people and has no electric hookup, so a blower would need a generator. If your heart's set on it, call the forest office at (850) 535-2888, find out exactly what they'll approve, and we'll work within it. For most Ebro birthdays, the backyard is genuinely the better plan.
