Allow two business days for review, and get any site-plan changes in at least ten days ahead. Applications go to Community Services at the Customer Service Center on Ohio Avenue, or by email to the city's special events address.
The Power Question — and Why We Bring a Generator
This is the one that catches people out. The City of Lynn Haven does not provide electricity at its parks, with three exceptions: the Sheffield Park amphitheater, the Garden Club, and Leslie Porter Park. Everywhere else — including the two-acre field at A.L. Kinsaul Park — you need your own power. We bring a generator to every Lynn Haven park setup as standard. One more detail worth knowing: the city requires an 811 utility locate before any temporary structure is staked into the ground, which is exactly what anchoring an inflatable involves. We plan for it.

A.L. Kinsaul Park on West 5th Street is our usual first pick — a two-acre waterfront multiuse field, covered pavilion, playground, restrooms, and plenty of paved parking. Leslie Porter Park on Michigan Avenue is on North Bay with multiple covered pavilions (the large one is reservable), a beach and swim area, and power. Sharon Sheffield Park on Ohio Avenue is the city's main event venue, with the amphitheater and power. Cain Griffin Park has a splash pad and rentable ball fields. Two to avoid: Lynn Haven Bayou Park & Preserve is deed-restricted and permits no private events of any kind, and James E. Rogers Park is still being rebuilt. Also note alcohol is prohibited on all city property.

We need flat grass or concrete matching the unit's listed footprint, the listed overhead clearance, and a standard outlet within 100 feet.
